Q-01 Do I have to be an operator?+
No. Although Operator Syndrome was first identified in Special Forces Operators, the concept applies broadly across all branches of the military and first responders — police officers, firefighters, and paramedics included. You don't have to have been an operator to be affected.
Q-02 Do I have to be a veteran to use Stronghold?+
Not at all. Anyone is welcome to use our network. We tailor our services to CAF and RCMP veterans — which makes them highly applicable to first responders — but these wellness solutions are beneficial for everyone. Please note that outside of VAC-eligible veterans and RCMP members, coverage is not guaranteed; non-eligible clients access our network through partner discounts and out-of-pocket arrangements.
Q-03 Does Stronghold charge for its service?+
No. Our health navigation service is completely free to all clients. Practitioners and companies charge for their own services, and they all offer Stronghold clients an exclusive discount. In some cases the services are completely covered — for example, medical cannabis is often 100% covered by VAC for CAF and RCMP veterans.
Q-04 Do you need my personal medical information?+
No. Stronghold Wellness doesn't need any of your personal medical information. All we need to know is what service you're interested in. Your medical information stays between you and your practitioners.
Q-05 What can actually be covered by VAC?+
Many services can be fully or partially funded through Veterans Affairs Canada, depending on your claim history. Medical cannabis is often 100% covered for eligible veterans. Other therapies — including hormone optimization, certain mental health treatments, and VAC-funded kinesiology — may also qualify. We confirm eligibility and coordinate the paperwork for you.

Q-07 What if I'm still serving?+
You can still access our network and partner discounts now, and build your health foundation before transition. While still serving, treatments unfortunately won't be covered through VAC — enquire with your medical chain of command to find out about eligibility. For medical cannabis, serving members receive 50% off, with out-of-pocket costs typically tax deductible as a medical expense.
Q-08 What if I already have a clinic or provider?+
That's fine — Stronghold complements your existing care. If you choose to switch a specific service to one of our partners, you'll simply need to cancel with your current provider first. We'll help make the transition smooth.
